Fog, Cold Temperatures

Is it Spring or Winter?  We're not sure!  We put away the down comforter and space heater.  But Winter returned and we had to double down on quilts and bring out the space heater again.  Today started with fog as have the past couple of days.  Currently the sun is out and there's breeze gusting to 15 mph.  The temperature is 78 degrees.  We like...

This is Maui.  Chris and Sonsearae have had this canine for awhile now.  Not sure why I didn't take or post a picture before.

Other than the fluctuations in temperatures not much is going on around here.  Just our day to day of chores (me), gaming and reading.  Of course I work almost daily on my cards.  Need some?  I've got quite a few.  Seems I make them faster than I mail them!  Jim does go out for a daily walk or two.  I've done a leisurely walk for the past two days and he joins me.

Pretty Spring cards using Stampin' Up! supplies

Each month I'm trying to make up Christmas cards.  This may be a mix of companies, because I have some old papers. Or it could be just Echo Park

Blast of Cold Air

Though we've had some wonderful Spring days and it lulled us into shorts and sandals...Winter isn't over.  From 'somewhere' north west of us a front came chugging through and last night it was down in the lower 30's!  We are not Amused!!!

Not to long ago we were at the sea shore and the Gulf of Mexico was bit cool, but we did walk in the water and enjoyed the sounds of the surf and birds.  St George Island is beautiful and quite a few people were out enjoying the sun and sand.  We took a picnic and sat under a pavilion where it was quite cool in the shade.  Perfect day to be outside

These are called mystery cards.  You just cut the paper into six card fronts without regard to the print.  Each is unique.  The paper is from Club Scrap and you know I like it....green is my favorite color!

Stampin' Up! Dainty Delight DSP

Wonderful World was a special release from Stampin' Up!  I fussy cut the flower and leaves, laid it upon six 1 inch squares and a foil paper. Prefect for spring, right?

I don't recall the name of this DSP (I'm just using up my pretty papers!) and at this time I don't have a greeting on them.

Any Plans?

The weekend is upon us!  Do you have any plans?  Thus far we have no plans.  Today we did drive to Panacea to visit the Tomato Lady.  Working out of her van she provides produce to far flung areas!  Today I picked up some Kirby Cucumbers and the  sweet potatoes were from Mississippi. A lot of her produce is from Florida.  Drove down to a little beach on Ochlockonee Bay.  It was beautiful but the parking lot (small) was full and there was a brisk breeze blowing so we didn't walk the small beach.  Next time! Made a run to CVS and then home

Sonsearae stopped by, she worked in Crawfordville this week. She brought some Tuna Casserole for Jim and I fixed a macaroni salad for out lunch.  Of course Jim had both!  Also served up some fresh tomatoes.

A couple of days ago Jim got a new recliner.  It has a phone charger, USB port, drink holder and as you can see it reclines quite a bit.  The headrest is adjustable.  It sits a bit higher than his other recliner and it reminds me of a throne.  When in the upright position his feet don't touch the floor.  If it had a snack compartment he'd be all set!

Almost Spring

Our weather has been warming up and the surrounding trees are greening up. Live oaks are shedding their leaves making way for new growth. Pollen is everywhere! Here in the south we have Camilla’s and Azaleas that give us color and I took these pictures awhile back at Wakulla Lodge. Sonsearae, Jim and I had lunch and then walked around the grounds. The manatees were not showing themselves, the water might have been a wee bit cool from the springs.

Still no word on changing campgrounds. We are trying to move closer in to Tallahassee. It seems all our medical visits are 45-60 minutes driving. Makes for a long day, especially when we make other stops while out and about.
Jim still uses his C-pap machine most every night. I guess I don’t fully understand how it’s supposed to work. I had hoped he’d spend less time in bed but that hasn’t been the case. He’s taken up walking most days. Doesn’t like the cold nasty weather but he’s been pretty consistent. Me? Nope, not walking. My hips and back make it slow going and it’s pretty boring walking around this dust bowl campground.

More of my pretty paper. I guess you could say I’m in Spring mode. I really like the circles, do you?

time flies!

Not sure where the time goes, we're still here.  Not much going on.  We stay close to home doing our usual routine of nothing.  We do go out and about but not as much as we used to.  With the price of diesel just under $4.50 a gallon we don't run the roads much.  We combine trips as I'm sure millions of others do too.

A recent sunset.  We've had quite a few.  Soon those trees will fill in with leaves and I won't see many sunsets.
