Hurricane Update

                                           Good Morning from sunny Crawfordville Florida.  You've probably seen reports of a hurricane heading our way.  Still very much south of us at the moment.  We are aware of Ian and we are preparing.  We've got generators in case the power goes out.  We do have some trees which could be worrisome.  They've weathered other storms but who knows?  This area is considered a flood zone.  If we need to we can go inland and stay with Sonsearae and Chris.

For those of you who have already contacted me we appreciate your thoughtfulness, we love you, but you know this isn't our first hurricane.  Pesky storms! 

My flowers are still pretty but are leggy and will not last much longer.  Especially if we get the rain and wind from this storm.  For now we'll enjoy them and the critters that visit

Jim has been very diligent about walking every day.  Me?  not so much, it's still to hot.  I did walk around the campground Saturday as it was quite pleasant outside.  Our temperatures are starting to drop, dipping into the upper 60's at night.  Right now at 0914 it's 77 (not shabby) but the humidity is 85%.

the first three pictures are one card.  DSP stands for Designer Series Paper but could also mean double sided paper.  Stampin' Up! papers are double sided and you get to chose which side to use.  Sometimes you hate to cut it!

Where does the Time Go

 I think about blogging almost everyday.  But we live such a simple life I'm not sure you need to be bored on a regular basis!

Our days run into each other with regularity.  Jim has been walking, I'm so proud of him.  The heat and humidity keep me inside.  So much so, I'm gaining weight!  I tend to the simple chores in the house and make cards.  Jim reads and plays games to pass the time, as do I.  We have outings to see family weekly.  

I'm into sour dough baking again.  So far a couple loaves of bread and some waffles.  Both tasty.

Not far from here is a nice beach on the bay.  Had a nice stroll digging my feet into the sand and listening to sea sounds.  We need to go back!

Summer is winding down, daily temperatures are in the upper 80's....when it isn't raining.  A couple nights ago it dipped into the upper 60's.  I like that!
