Some Cards I've been Working On

You may not hear from me daily, but that's because we're an old married couple and our lives are not all that interesting.

Jim's incision is healing well.  Closing up slowly from each end.

We spent some time with Sonsearae and Chris on Sunday.  They looked tired!  They spent part of last week with Robin and Randy and Bobby and Kristin (I hope that's right) at Disney World.  Robin and Bobby are Chris' children.  From the pictures I saw, they all had fun and probably ate to much!

More Disney Cruise cards from Echo Park

Looking forward to this cruise.  I've never been on one.  Jim of course has been to sea aboard Navy ships but this will be his first pleasure cruise.

A challenge card, we had to use retiring Stampin' Up! products and sadly Soft Succulent is retiring, so are the Forever Ferns stamps and dies...I shall miss them

Our Social Life

Actually we don't have one.  If it weren't for Doctor visits and Sonsearae we'd be doing nothing. Generally we eat out when we head to the doctor visits.  Oh and we shop for groceries too!

Jim has been seeing a dermatologist for his precancerous lesions.  They took a biopsy on one and it turned out to be cancer.  So it was removed last Wednesday.  In the small of his back so he's a bit uncomfortable sitting.  Antibiotics and medicated cream for the incision.  I've been changing his dressings and it looks to be healing nicely.  He has also managed to get in a daily walk.

Springtime Weather

Saturday started off foggy and chilly.  Low 50's around 0800.  Jim decided to sleep in.  But I was up at 0400!  Quiet time is good, I can work on my cards.  It can be messy once I start getting the supplies out.  Since I use the kitchen counter (not very big) it quickly looks cluttered.

The sun did come out for a couple of hours, then clouds moved in and by evening we had rain.  The system wasn't all that bad but it did cause Netflix to stop and some of our apps didn't work on our tablets. It was still raining when we went to bed but didn't keep us from sleeping. Gone by morning

Sunday... let's see, we had some overcast skies, some sunshine and more overcast skies with a threat of rain.  Sounds like Spring!

Spent some time with Sonsearae and Chris.  They're going to Disney World Tuesday so we were cleaning out their fridge!  Brought some food home with us

When on the Road

You tend to put off medical problems unless they're dire.  I figured my teeth could wait.  But that has come to an end.

Earlier this week I finally saw a dentist and had my teeth cleaned.  Not something that was done often while we were on the road.  Since I have periodontal disease that was taken care of also.  Don't you just love being numbed up for scraping and scaling?  It wasn't all that bad, I guess the painkiller drugs are getting better.  I go back in July to be reassessed.  The technician did say my pockets weren't all that deep considering the length of time since my last visit.   Years ago as I can't remember!  As a going away gift they gave me an electric toothbrush and special toothpaste Enamelon to use along with floss and mouthwash.  Considering how much money we gave them it was the least they could do!

Jim is doing good with the treatment he had Wednesday for the lesions on his head.  There are red spots but it looks about the same to me.  But it itches and it is annoying for him.  Picked up some meds today, one is topical, the other is an antibiotic.

This first card was for a challenge, make a spring card.  When I think of Spring I think of Tulips.  What says Spring to you?  This is all Stampin' Up! product

There is always a need for sympathy cards.  This is Stampin' Up! Gingko Branch and Timeworn Type embossing folder

Just using up some of my beautiful DSP.  Stampin' Up! makes it easy with the color coordinating, paper matches ink matches DSP.  I also attached some of the DSP to envelopes

Club Scrap!  Challenge was to use circles and I did!

March template from Crafty Al, again just using my stash and putting pretty DSP on envelopes

I have no idea on how long this card was waiting to be completed!  I have squirrel moments....see someone's work and want to make it and forget my current project.  Find it later and complete it.

So much paper...I wonder if I'll ever use it all?  I am trying!

Gloomy Start to our Day

But it turned out beautiful!  Storm rolled through with a threat of possible tornados but it passed and the sun came out along with a nice breeze.  Opened the windows for awhile.

Jim had some lesions removed from the top of his head yesterday.  Some type of acid was used and he had to 'bake' for awhile.  While he was doing that Sonsearae and I went to Costco and I probably bought to much, but it was fun!  Beforehand the three of us had lunch.  Today he's been napping a lot.  Also a biopsy was taken from  his lower back and it turns out it's melanoma and it will be removed next week.

I made spaghetti for lunch along with a Caesar salad and French bread.  I forgot to have wine!  Oh well, next time.  Boy did I make a mess in the kitchen!

If you've ever spent time in the south you know Azaleas feature prominently in the wild and in neighborhood yards.  I like the color of this one

Jim got a new chair!  It reclines enough that you could sleep in it but so far that hasn't happened.  It has a charging station as it's electric to operate the dad gum thing.  He can charge his phone in the slot and plug in his tablet.  He's very happy with it!
