Today marks the 50th anniversary of the death of John F Kennedy. Do you remember what you were doing when you first heard the news? I was cleaning the living room, one of my chores after school was to take the dust mop and clean around the carpet. The radio was on when I heard the awful news and I remember letting loose of the handle and hearing it hit the floor. I suppose this is the first time that the outside world affected me, a high school student. He was such a popular man and along with his wife, I was more aware of politics and life outside of my home.
