Fort Benning, Uchee Creek Army Campground and Marina

After a one day delay because of weather and making a stop at the dump station we left Ft Rucker yesterday morning around 1130.  We drove on some pretty amazing back roads.  Winding and twisting through some hills.  Jim enjoyed the drive and commented on it several times!

We stopped for a bite of lunch after an hour on the road and after driving 98 miles we arrived around 1500, but we're in the Eastern Time Zone again.

You should see this place, it's Huge!  There are three different size cabins you can rent (61) along with 72 paved RV sites and 250 rally RV sites (no hook ups). We have full hook ups in a curved pull through.  I think this is an older campground because our site is just a bit tight for our rig.  Smaller rigs do just fine.  There are back in sites also that are quite spacious.  We're in the woods, so there are lots of trees and birds.  Grassy areas that look inviting.  I'll be taking pictures and will share if I continue to have internet. The WiFi is spotty, couldn't even get on last night and today it was a surprise when my laptop connected this morning.  Jim can't connect and our phones and iPad won't connect.

It's a bit cooler here, last night it dipped into the low 50's.  But according to the forecast we'll be warming up the next few days and no rain!

The Army base is quite large also, we even managed to explore a bit of it today when we made a run to the commissary.
