Rain

The past few days we've not done anything very exciting. But we've enjoyed our time here at Mountaindale campground. The weather is wonderful, clear blue skies most of the day, maybe an afternoon shower and then it cools off.

Today we went into Canon City with Marilyn and Ed, we had lunch at Chili's. Tasty food and the lunch deal for $20 bucks is the way to go! One appetizer, two entrees and one dessert. If you've ever eaten at Chili's you know how large the servings are! We brought home enough food for another meal.

After our lunch we went to the Abbey Winery, http://www.abbeywinery.com/ We all enjoyed tasting the wine and even bought a couple bottles apiece. Marilyn and I wanted to buy just about everything! Good thing we live in small spaces! But we could use the napkins and dishes....and maybe a wine rack and some cookbooks and maybe a picnic basket......a girl can dream can't she? :)

We drove home after the visit to the winery and as usual we all enjoyed the views. The white clouds forming over the mountains are beautiful and it usually means we'll have a shower.

Once home we all changed and the guys played golf on Ed's Wii. Apparently they really like it! It's a daily thing for them. No matter, I watch my soaps and read and before you know it it's time for happy hour. Today we had pina coladas and sat outside under the pine trees. Life is good!

We ate leftovers for dinner, bison stew from yesterday. The dishes are done and for the past hour or so we've been listening to the rain. It started as a heavy storm, we even lost the satellite signal for a bit.
