I can't begin to tell you all that we ate, the buffet is spread out over a big room with many tables of delectable treats. Prime rib, baked ham and various other meats fit for a king. Cheeses, crispy breads and crackers. Seafood that included several forms of salmon, oysters, shrimp. Salads and antipasto items. Breakfast items that included the normal bacon and eggs, omelets made to order, eggs Benedict, crepes, pancakes and fruit. The dessert table was enormous and full of all sorts of goodies. In the background for our enjoyment a man was playing the piano.
Marilyn and Ed
Marilyn and Ed celebrated with us and we shared a bottle of champagne. We all made several trips to the buffet and we left stuffed to the gills! Management sent out a celebratory cake for Jim and I and you can see a picture at The Happy Wanderer's blog, http://www.mytripjournal.com/Dray-TheHappyWanderers?i=1 also more pictures of the grounds.
The Hotel and grounds are beautiful
Jim and Linda, we clean up pretty good!
it must take a crew of hundreds to keep everything so pristine! The attention to detail is unbelievable. This decoration rings the building
this is what you see as you drive up to the entrance
The entrance to the Broadmoor can be seen while you approach it. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger! Very immpressive! For the brunch we drove up to the entrance and a valet came out and parked our truck. the staff makes everyone feel special!
Jim took all these pictures and he did a mighty fine job!

After we drove home the four of us split up and I know we came inside and changed into loose comfortable clothes! I'm sure the Drays did also as all the way home that's what we talked about, pajamas and loose clothes :) Jim stretched out on the bed for about an hour and I read my book.
It was late in the evening when we got hungry. Funny thing about our bodies, no matter how much you eat at one sitting a few hours later you need to eat more!

We did have a few sprinkles but no rain, it was a perfect day to celebrate 35 years of marriage.
