Paper Craft

Handmade cards because:
No one displays an email on the mantle
or shows off a tweet on the fridge
or saves a Facebook post in a box of treasure

For years I've enjoyed making my own greeting cards but I haven't done a lot of it since we started traveling.  But I still have supplies and I'm going to dig them out every now and then and play!

For the year of 2019 I've challenged myself to 500 cards think I can do it?

14 February 2019  56 cards

Lovely paper to make some very cute cards!  The card bases are made with Stampin' Up! very vanilla paper as I thought the patterned paper was to bright for white paper.  It's a softer look don't you think?

12 February 2019  44 cards

This first card is from a Fun Stampers Journey kit

The Butterfly card is from a Club Scrap Kit

This Butterfly card is from a huge paper pad whose name escapes

I belong to a group on Facebook that has templates to make cards.  This month is using 6 x 6 designer paper and makes four cards.  As you can see I've made several sets and there are more to come!

January 27 2019 ...29 cards

This stamp set is from a Fun Stampers Journey kit.  the top card is with their paper, the other two are Stampin' Up! paper.  As is the ink.

January 23 2019...26 so far...I've slowed down a bit!

Mostly Stampin' Up! products.  The stamped image is a new set of stamps I just got...I love frogs! Colored the image with pencils

15 January 2019...25 so far

Just a simple card for a challenge and using mostly Stampin' Up! products.  As pink isn't my favorite color I'm not crazy about this card

These two cards represent eight cards in total, four of each.  A real simple kit Precious Parcel from Stampin' Up!  It maybe took 15 minutes to make while I was watching football.

Easy, simple layout on these two cards

7 January 2019...14 so far

These are from the same Club Scrap Kit, Vintage Botany and are pocket cards.  The Club Scrap Greetings to Go Kits usually make 12 cards and are easily assembled

5 January 2019...10 so far

Three cards using the January template One Sheet Wonder by Jessica Taylor.  I joined her group and monthly she gives us a different challenge with a new template.  The center card is a double pocket that was quite tricky to make, but I did it! Most of the supplies are Stampin' Up!

3 January 2019...7 cards so far!

The first four cards are from Club Scrap, Vintage Botany kit

These three cards are bold and spring like.  The paper is Magnolia Way paper stack and I love the bright, bold patterns.  I've a lot more of this paper!

December 31 2018

this was for a group, papers are mixed media as is the stamp

27 November 2018

Sorry the colors are dark on these

The first set is Stampin' Up! paper and I'm not sure about the stamps.

The second set is from Club Scrap, very beachy!

17 November  2018

I love the colors in the Moroccan Spice card kit from Club Scrap.

October 2 2018

Using paper in my stash and DCWV Nautical Mile paper and a journal card I pieced this together.  I like the color combination

September 26 2018

Celebrate Autumn from Echo Park Papers and matching Ephemera are a quick cards!  As long as you enjoy mixing and matching the designs come together nicely

Awhile back I found a Postcard Book with Designs from Johanna Basford. Lost Ocean is full of seascapes and aquatic critters for the adult to color. It's fun to choose the colors and fill in the blanks

DCWV has a wide range of 12 by 12 paper pads to be creative with.  Nautical Mile just reminds me of oceans, shoreline and the sea in general!

September 15 2018

This batch of cards is from Stampin' Up! It's a Paper Pumpkin Kit and it was easy peasy to assemble the cards.  Haven't done them all but there were ten cards in this kit

September 13, 2018

Is it to early for Christmas Cards?  I think not!  This set of cards is a Bo Bunny Kit.  You can find them in Scrapbook Stores.  I don't think I've run across them in any of the big box stores.  All you do is glue them together.  The dies are punched and the chipboard is ready to go.

August 12 2018

Just using up some stash...think I made six and I'm thinking I should have edited this.  The Pink is a place mat, not part of the card

Been awhile since I posted here...blame it on Sonsearae!  We spent the month of July in Tallahassee and I just didn't craft much.

The stamps are from Fun Stampers Journey Bloom Box, the paper?  Various sources

These two cards are from Fun Stampers Journey Bloom Box

More from the Office Space July 2016 Club Scrap Greetings to Go Kit

The following four cards are 5 x 7.  Isn't that ribbon pretty?

Office Space July 2016 Club Scrap Greetings to Go Kit

Lovely colors in this kit.  These cards all have belly bands and gate folds. You slide the band off to open and reveal the message inside.

We've been on 'vacation' this month and I've not taken the time to work with my paper and stamps.  These kits make it easy to cut and assemble quick cards

I love this reindeer from Merry Mistletoe Stampin' Up!

Ok, here are some cards that I've made during the last few weeks...some I've made multiples of

just fooling around with scraps and gluing them together

Is it to early for Christmas?

Hmmm...lay your head on your right shoulder please

Wow I know I've made cards in the last month...I must make sure to post more often!

These 6 cards are from a Club Scrap Greetings to Go Kit.  This kit makes 12 cards and I still have 6 to make.  From February 2016 Crewel & Unusual has a nice color combination.  A little cutting, some gluing and Viola!  cards to mail to friends and family

July 3, 2017

The above cards are from Club Scrap.  The monthly card kits are fun to assemble.  This is the Fiesta Kit

I've been playing with my paper, getting ideas from bloggers and youtube

It doesn't take any time at all to assemble this simple card.  About 10 minutes to cut, stamp and glue together!  Image, ink and paper from Stampin' Up!

These four cards took a bit longer because I cut out all the dresses and hats from stamped designer paper

I think they need something more...all paper, ink and stamps from Stampin' Up!

June 16, 2017

Some cards using the Fiesta Kit from Club Scrap.  Not crazy about the black stickers from the kit so I'm doing my own thing with some of the cards.  The colors of the papers are bright and cheery.  I try not to make birthday and other occasion cards because I have plenty of them.  I like to send notes to family and friends so  try to use those type of greetings

April 14, 2017

I've been assembling cards in stages, working fifteen to twenty minutes at a time.  My pain levels rise if I stand to much.  This first card is from Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin August 2016.  Pretty with Autumn colors all eight cards are shaker cards.  The kit included everything needed to make the cards.  It comes with instructions and a link to a video.  I chose the Hello greeting over Thanks.

These blue cards are from Club Scrap, Color Me Happy, Greetings to Go kit, January 2017.  The kits come with everything needed except your choice of adhesives and no stamping is required.  You also need to cut the paper.  I have a Fiskar Paper cutter that you can buy at any craft store.  You can download the instructions or print them out.  I changed up the design on these.

I love the color combination in this kit!

April 28th, four more cards assembled from the same kit.  These are yellow cards with teal and accents.  The top card is How Ya Doin?  The other three are birthday cards

March 27, 2017

I was able to play with my stash this week, but only made four cards two of each seen here.  The one on the right is from Stampin' Up! August 2016 Paper Pumpkin.  The card on the left uses a scrap and stamp from SU.  If you're a stamper, remember to use them on the envelope

March 18, 2017
I took a few minutes yesterday to finish up some cards.  All was ready just needed to slap some glue on them.  The three larger cards are Club Scrap, from a kit.  The two smaller cards are from trades

March 17, 2017
As you may have read I've become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator again.  My first project is this cute Paper Pumpkin Kit from August 2016 that was included in my original demo order.

What fun!  Everything is included so you can create as soon as you get the kit.  Great for those who aren't sure about crafting.  This kit had three thank you cards, three note cards and three gift card pockets.  Each kit is a surprise so stay tuned!
