Gulf Shores, Alabama

We were up early for us....0730 and we were on the road by 0900. We had to make a stop at the dump station and then we were on our way to Gulf Shores State Park. Our stay at Fairview-Riverside State Park was much to short. The campground is beautiful and restful, calming and soothing.

Our drive was uneventful. Interstate 10 is as boring as ever. but it does get you from point A to point B quickly. We made two stops and arrived in Gulf Shores around 1330. In no time at all we were set up and enjoying a cold beer. After chatting with the Scott's for a bit we decided to go to the beach and walk around a bit.

My honey enjoying the water.....

One nice thing about walking on the beach, one gets hungry quickly so after walking a bit and collecting shells we headed back home. Jim got the grill started while I showered and washed my hair, then he showered and grilled our steaks. Along with a baked potato and a Caesar salad we were all set. Oh, we also had a glass of red wine.
The dishes are done and all we have left to do is unwind a bit more. Jim is checking our route for Saturday when we leave here. We will both be sad because we'll part with our good friends.
