RAIN....I think we've had enough

We've had a goodly amount of rain this past week.  Spring Showers are way overrated!

I had my eyes examined this past week and I'm getting two new pair.  The VA is treating me well.  Of course the exam was free as are the frames I chose for everyday wear.  But the cost of lenses are unbelievable!  Under $650 for both pair.  If you are entitled to VA care find out what they offer..

Saturday I went to the neighborhood garage sale in Southwood where Sonsearae and Chris live.  A fun few hours with younger people is good for the soul.  Their neighbors Marge and Jose ferried us around and we saw a lot of stuff we didn't need or buy.  But I did find a jacket, blouse and some napkins and paid a whopping 4 bucks.

Jim got a new pair of work boots...very comfortable and they have the Texas flag on them.  I'm sure he'll get a lot of use out of them because they don't weigh anything!

These papers are from Echo Park. They have such feminine designs and it's fun putting the cards together.  This is the O Happy Day kit

Club Scrap had a challenge so I dug out some paper and had a go at winning using tis sketch we had to follow.  I didn't win but the cards turned out well

Wendy Cranford's monthly kit included some lovely butterfly papers so I made these. I thought they turned out well.  Stampin' Up! supplies

The Flowering Cactus bundle is retiring and I'm sad to see it go.  The colors are so pretty.  Once the papers are gone I can use the stamps to make more cards

Nice weather, we like!

We’re enjoying our spring weather. Getting outside a bit more. We discovered another small park nearby that we can walk.

Broadmoor isn’t as pretty as the last one.  This park didn’t look as tidy or well kept either.  But where there’s water, there are water birds.

Wood Storks aren't the prettiest birds but they hang around with Herons and Egrets

Last Saturday I went to a Farmer's Market with Sonsearae, Margarette and Jose.  Much bigger than the Ft Braden one.  Found some veggies to bring home and some delectable goodies from The English Rose.  This British couple are making and selling scones and other tea time delights.  Afterwards we went to lunch where Chris joined us.  After a stop at their house to divvy up our goodies we drove to a plant sale.  Sonsearae and I drove to the Feed Store where Margarette and Jose joined us to see the animals and look at the plants.  Fun day for sure, Jim opted to stay home.  I did share my baked goods with him.

These 7 cards are from the March Paper Pumpkin, actually there were 8 but I mailed one before I took the picture.  I hope John liked it!

Can't remember who posted the challenge, but I made this card.  All Stampin' Up! products, the stamp in from the kit above

We've both had some medical visits.  Just getting are ducks in a row.  I'll be seeing my new doctor Monday, I think.  Had my blood drawn and I'm sure we'll have a lot to talk about.  Jim had a dental appointment today, first in a series to get new dentures.  somewhere down the line I'll have to see a dentist too.
