Way down yonder on the Chattahoochee....

It gets hotter than a hoochie coochie, or so says Alan Jackson.

Jim was able to connect to the WiFi here!  I tell ya, this free WiFi comes and goes for Jim but I stay on pretty much all the time.  Must be the newer laptop!  Still can't connect with the iPads.

On Sunday we drove into Columbus,Georgia to see the river walk and have lunch.  As we were looking about at the folks enjoying this fine day (low 80's) we saw this raft coming downstream over the rocks

Sure looked like they were having fun!  If you look at the next picture, this is the rapid they just came through

On Facebook I posted a series of them shooting the rapids!

Even the local students were taking advantage of the nice weather

I don't think I mentioned that our nightly cost for both this campground and Ft Rucker was only $12 a night.  They accept the National Park Pass and we got the discount!

After driving through the historic district with the brick paved streets and Victorian houses we decided we needed some lunch and stopped in at Hoolihan's.  Mostly because it was there!

Our lunch at Hoolihan's was very nice.  Jim ordered some stuffed mushrooms that were delicious but could have been our meal so we brought some home.  He had fish tacos and I had a grilled shrimp salad.  All very tasty.

Then it was time to head home where Jim took a nap and I snoozed on the lounger...we really need to stop having beer for lunch!

Our days are heating up, reaching the mid-80's by afternoon.  The nights are still dipping into the upper 50's, but usually right before dawn.  So perhaps Mr Jackson is right...
