When it rains, it pours

If you think I'm going to talk about rain you've got another think coming!  Our everyday life is pretty calm and quiet.  But not this week!

On Monday long awaited parts, to fix the toilet that has had a slow drip for months, arrived.  Always out of stock we both anticipated this simple part for a simple repair.

Tuesday we had places to be in Tallahassee so into town we went.  Also enjoyed some lunch.  On the way home the right front break started grabbing on the truck.  Oh No!  So Jim called around and found a place where we could drop it off, have it looked at.

But!

On Wednesday morning Jim started the repair on the toilet and another part snapped off.  The rig is almost 20 years old so things are going to break.  Since this toilet is a much needed item he called around to see about mobile repair coming out to fix it.  They said yes, but it will be Friday morning.  At our age sleeping though the night without a toilet or having to schlep to the bathhouse is not acceptable.  So Jim arranged for a room at the hotel about a block from here.

Meanwhile Sonsearae and I had pedicures to get after she got off from work at noon.   We arranged for her to meet us at the garage (brake on the truck) so she could drive us into town for lunch and the appointment.  Also to pick up a rental car. After we got home on Wednesday we relaxed with some coffee, I had a bite to eat, we packed for an overnight visit and headed to the hotel.

We still needed somewhere to rest our weary bones on Thursday night.  Sonsearae offered us a bed.  So we just packed up some clean clothes and headed her way on Thursday morning.

During all this time we had to deal with rain showers here and there.  We dropped off our belongings and visited awhile before we headed to Costco for some veggies.  We brought a cooler and of course we made use of her fridge and freezer overnight.  We had a good visit, a lovely dinner and all three of us were in bed by around 2200.

I should mention that Chris is out of town.  He was missed especially by Sonsearae and their dog Maui.

Friday we had to be home for the repair to the toilet.  So I roused Jim around 0730, we packed up and headed out just before 0800.  Most of the traffic was headed into town so that posed no problem for us

I'm happy to report the toilet is operational and we are happy campers ensconced in our home once again.  It's been a costly week and it isn't over.  We still need to get the truck, hopefully today.

How was your week?

The next three pictures are a OSW from Jessica Taylor
I really like the colors in these cards
btw OSW stands for one sheet wonder.  You use the whole sheet of DSP paper.  In this case it was 12 x 12 inch paper

All of the product is Stampin' Up!

As soon as we pick up the truck
All will be right in our world
